ISLAMABAD: Water provide to Rawalpindi from Rawal Dam was suspended on Saturday afternoon after poison was poured within the dam, which additionally led to a considerable amount of fish dying during the last three days.
The water provide was suspended on the request of Water and Sanitation Company (WASA), confirmed the administration of Rawal Dam.
The administration officers added that fish and water samples are being examined and provide to the town will resume after the report has been accomplished.
A First Info Report (FIR) was registered towards the native mafia for pouring of the substance.
In response to the FIR lodged filed by Punjab Fisheries Division, individuals from the mafia have been stopped from fishing and boating within the dam as it’s banned.
