Scott’s second studio album ‘Birds within the Lure Sing McKnight’ is the fifth Apple/iTunes unique to hit No. 1 in 2016.
Travis Scott (II) has reached a brand new milestone by posting his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. His second studio album “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight” debuts atop the U.S. albums chart following its unique launch on iTunes on September 2.
“Birds” bought 88,000 equal album models within the week ending September eight, together with fifty three,000 in conventional album gross sales. His debut studio album “Rodeo” peaked at No. three on the chart in 2015, with sixty seven,000 models bought within the first week.
As famous by Billboard, “Birds” is the fifth album which was initially launched solely on Apple/iTunes to hit No. 1 in 2016. Earlier Apple/iTunes exclusives to prime the chart are Frank Ocean‘s “Blonde“, DJ Khaled‘s “Major Key“, Drake‘s “Views” and Future‘s “EVOL“.
A Day to Remember‘s “Bad Vibrations” is the opposite newcomer that enters the highest 10 this week. Promoting sixty seven,000 models (together with sixty two,000 in pure album gross sales), it debuts at No. 2, one of the best for the rock band up to now. The group’s earlier peak place on the chart was at No. eleven with “What Separates Me From You” in 2010.
Drake’s “Views” is up one place to No. three with 60,000 models (down 50%). The “Suicide Squad” soundtrack rises from No. 6 to No. four with fifty five,000 models (down 12%). Florida Georgia Line‘s “Dig Your Roots” plunges from No. 2 to No. 5 with forty two,000 models.
Final week’s No. 1 “Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway” by Barbra Streisand dips to No. 6 with forty one,000 models (down seventy three%). Twenty One Pilots‘ “Blurryface” rises 10-7 with simply greater than 30,000 models. Rihanna‘s “Anti” is up one rung to No. eight with 30,000 models (down 6%). Beyonce Knowles‘ “Lemonade” loses two spots, putting ninth with almost 30,000 models (down 21%). Rounding out the highest 10 is Frank Ocean‘s “Blonde” which bought one other 29,000 models.
