KABUL: A Taliban suicide bomber attacked a convoy of overseas forces in Afghanistan late Thursday, killing one Nato soldier and wounding six different personnel, the coalition stated.
“The patrol was conducting a partnered mission with the Afghan Nationwide Military when a personnel-borne IED (improvised explosive system) detonated,” in Qarabagh district in Kabul province,” Nato stated in a press release.
The Taliban shortly claimed the assault on social media and in Whatsapp messages to journalists.
Qarabagh district is situated 50 kilometres north of the capital Kabul and is close to Bagram Airbase, the most important American base in Afghanistan.
