Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi was appointed because the ambassador for the fifth version of the Blind Cricket World Cup, stated a press release launched by the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) on Friday.
“Afridi shouldn’t be solely an icon within the area of cricket throughout the globe but in addition a philanthropist and a task mannequin in social works,” stated Chairman PBCC Syed Sultan Shah.
He added that blind cricket within the nation will achieve new heights with Afridi’s contribution.
The fifth version of the Blind Cricket World Cup, to be performed in ODI format, might be hosted by PBCC within the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan in January 2018, added the assertion.
The PBCC is making an attempt to host a number of the pool matches and the ultimate in Pakistan.
9 members of World Blind Cricket Ltd will take part within the event and 4 members have agreed to play in Pakistan.
