A flight from Houston to London with greater than 200 passengers and crew needed to make an emergency landing in Eire after extreme turbulence injured quite a lot of these on board.
A spokesperson at Shannon Airport confirmed to ABC Information that United Airlines Flight 880 en route from Houston had a medical state of affairs and landed safely this morning. “A complete of 12 individuals have been transported to hospital, 9 adults and three youngsters. Two of the 12 have been crew members,” Limerick’s College Hospital stated in a press release, including that the primary accidents have been “gentle-tissue accidents, minor head accidents and lacerations.”
One affected person, a flight attendant, continues to be being assessed, United Airways stated in a press release, and eleven have been discharged. They’re on their method again to Shannon Airport to proceed their journey to London.
Nikki Hartin Boriack was one of many passengers.
