LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) senior chief Jahangir Tareen are amongst these lawmakers and politicians who, being administrators or companions of varied companies, acquired their loans written off.
In response to a report from the Finance Ministry submitted to the Senate, PTI Secretary Basic Tareen had a mortgage value Rs101 million written off from Zarai Taraqiati Financial institution Restricted.
The mortgage was written off from ZTBL close to the Tandlianwala Sugar Mills in 2005, in the course of the former army dictator Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s authorities during which Tareen served as a federal minister.
The knowledge is contained as a written reply by the Finance Ministry to questions within the Senate through the query-hour requested by PTI’s personal Muhammad Azam Swati and Nisar Muhammad of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The finance ministry was requested to reveal particulars of these politicians, ministers and lawmakers who had their loans written off by state-owned or personal banks and monetary establishments.
