Police say the scholar pilot of a small aircraft that crashed close to the Connecticut headquarters of military jet engine producer Pratt & Whitney fought his teacher and doubtless crashed intentionally.
The scholar died within the October crash. The trainer was injured.
East Hartford police reviews disclosed Tuesday help media tales from months in the past. An Related Press story from the day after the crash stated the trainer could not regain management of the aircraft from the scholar and the crash appeared to have been a suicide.
Teacher Arian Prevalla informed investigators scholar Feras Freitekh refused to relinquish management of the aircraft and fought him.
A police report says the trainer informed investigators the scholar stated he did not need to be a pilot however his mom needed him to fly.
The scholar was from Jordan. His associates say he did not deliberately crash.
