QUETTA: Police have arrested a ‘mastermind’ of a variety of bomb blasts throughout Chaman, a border city on the Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan.
Police officers stated the accused Noor Ahmed, an Afghan nationwide, was held from Chaman space. He had crossed into Pakistan from Afghanistan, illegally.
“The accused confessed of being concerned in explosions close to Authorities Women School and Railway Street, amongst others,” a senior police officer stated.
He stated Ahmed escaped to Afghanistan after the assaults; nevertheless, was arrested upon return to Chaman a couple of days again.
“I used to be receiving Rs100,000 for every assault from Afghanistan,” the officer quoted the accused as saying. Ahmed, the police officer added, stated he paid Rs50,000 to the person who carried out the blast.
He has been handed over to the authorities involved in Quetta for additional interrogation.
