KARACHI: Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, on Tuesday paid tribute to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers for upholding social gathering self-discipline and beliefs.
In her tweet on Tuesday, Maryam stated, “Tributes to PML-N MNAs who proved what a celebration is; what self-discipline is; what known as an ideology and what a pacesetter is”.
She added that a man’s character must be such that his opponents would testify for it.
The assertion got here hours after the ruling PML-N acquired Shahid Khaqan Abbasi elected as the brand new prime minister, following Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification by the Supreme Courtroom.
Abbasi swept the election securing 221 of 339 votes.
