PESHAWAR: The industries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have but to obtain incentives they have been promised by the provincial authorities in a notification issued on March 31, 2016.
In accordance with the notification, the industries have been to obtain 5 % return on markup, 25pc rebate on electrical energy and the identical proportion on transportation.
Underneath the scheme, Rs4.eight billion have been allotted to KP Financial Zones Improvement and Administration Firm (KP EZMDC) and Rs700 million have been transferred to their account.
Nevertheless, not a single penny of the motivation has been given to any business within the province.
In a letter addressed to KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Business President Zahidullah Shinwari has written that as a consequence of a scarcity of curiosity on a part of KP EZDMC, industries have neither acquired the promised quantity nor has any single case been authorised or processed.
As per the letter, non-cost of the promised quantity has left the enterprise group of KP with the impression that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) authorities isn’t critical about industrialisation.
Shinwari has demanded that the chief minister intervene within the matter.
Then again, whereas chatting with Geo Information, KP EZDMC Chief Working Officer Adil Salahuddin stated the corporate didn’t have a very good expertise prior to now coping with Gadoon Industrial Property.
He added that industrial models on the property have been working solely till incentives have been paid to them. As quickly as the supply of incentives stopped, the industrialists packed their equipment and left, inflicting the property to break down, Salahuddin added.
