Representatives of junior docs have referred to as on their union to authorise recent industrial motion of their dispute a few new contract.
The Junior Docs Committee (JDC) of the British Medical Affiliation (BMA) is to ask its full council to again extra industrial motion from early September.
The JDC says ministers have failed to deal with considerations concerning the contract.
Junior docs and medical college students voted in July to reject a contract deal agreed with the BMA.
It was rejected by fifty eight% of its members who voted within the poll.
In a letter to members launched on Twitter on Thursday night time, the JDC’s chair Ellen McCourt stated the federal government had remained “persistently silent” on points which, she stated, had resulted within the contract being rejected.
She stated: “In mild of this, the JDC Government has voted to reject the proposed new contract in full and to name for formal re-negotiations on all your considerations.
“In response to the federal government’s silence, JDC exec has at present made a proper request for a particular assembly of BMA Council to authorise a rolling programme of escalated industrial motion starting in early September.”
