The Inter-Providers Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday warned most of the people towards phone calls by impersonators pretending to be military officers.
“There are studies of faux phone calls being made to most of the people by people impersonating as Pakistan Armed Forces officers,” learn a message issued by the army’s media wing stated.
“The impersonators attempt to search private particulars” together with nationwide id card (CNIC) and checking account info “on the pretext of census verification,” the ISPR stated.
The ISPR clarified that no such calls have been being made by the armed forces and requested the general public to not reply to such calls and “instantly report the identical on our emergency helpline UAN 1135 and 1125”.
