A lady who’s housebound as a result of a uncommon genetic situation has been refused an electrical wheelchair on the NHS, and has resorted to crowdfunding.
Charlotte Walton, 24, from Newbury, Berkshire, has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and may not use considered one of her arms and each her legs.
She stated “life is at present passing by” as a result of she is “caught in her residence”.
Her native NHS Medical Commissioning Group apologised and requested her to “get in contact” to debate her state of affairs.
Ms Walton’s EDS signifies that her joints simply dislocate, and up to now 4 years since her analysis, the situation has worsened.

She estimates that the price of buying one privately is £5,000.
A spokesperson for Berkshire West Medical Commissioning Group stated: “We’re very sorry to listen to of Miss Walton’s state of affairs”.
