MANSEHRA: Ulema affiliated with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) have issued a joint decree declaring month-to-month honorarium of Rs10,000 for prayer leaders as haram.
“This joint decree issued by over 300 Ulema bars prayer leaders from receiving this month-to-month honorarium cash, which is a part of a world conspiracy towards them,” Mufti Kifayatullah, the appearing provincial chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, advised a gathering on Friday.
Mufti Kifayatullah advised Ulema that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led authorities had obtained cash from worldwide non-governmental organisations and they need to increase voice towards it.
“We’re going to maintain a convention on February 5 to influence the Ulema of various faculties of thought to keep away from this month-to-month honorarium,” Maulana Saeed Abdullah advised reporters after the gathering.
Additionally within the day, workplace-bearers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Mansehra termed the decree as an try and deprive imams of month-to-month honorarium which was being given to them from exchequer. “The PTI-led authorities has been freely giving this month-to-month honorarium to enhance the monetary place of Ulema from its personal treasury,” Mohammad Nisar, the president of PTI youth wing, informed reporters.
