NEW DELHI: 5 Indian hydropower tasks being constructed on tributaries of the Indus, over which Pakistan has raised objections, are at numerous levels of implementation within the Indus river basin, the Lok Sabha was knowledgeable Wednesday as reported by overseas media.
Minister of State for Exterior Affairs Singh V Okay Singh made a press release on this connection, days after media in Pakistan claimed that India had agreed to halt work on Miyar Nallah throughout Everlasting Indus Fee’s assembly held in Lahore earlier this month.
“…Tasks akin to Miyar Nallah, Decrease Kalnai, Pakal Dul, Kishenganga and Ratle are at totally different levels of implementation,” Singh advised the Decrease Home. Work on two different hydroelectricity tasks – Bhakra Nangal (on Sutlej River) and Pong Dam (Beas River) has been efficiently executed, he added.
