LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Company (FIA) on Monday arrested two staff of the Nationwide Financial institution of Pakistan for his or her alleged involvement in Rs8.7 million corruption case.
Based on the business banking circle of the company, Amir Maroof (OG-II) and Amanullah (OG-III) of the NBP Durand Street, Lahore, department allegedly misappropriated Rs8.7m from the account of the Punjab Public Service Fee.
An FIR has already been registered towards the suspects.
It stated the suspects have been arrested on a tip-off and can be introduced earlier than the courtroom for his or her remand.
In the meantime, the FIA anti-human trafficking cell, Lahore, claimed to have arrested a infamous human smuggler, Zahid Iqbal.
Based on the cell’s Deputy Director Mohammad Ahmad Chaudhry, the suspect was concerned in smuggling individuals to South Africa.
