BEIJING: China has urged Afghanistan and Pakistan to enhance relations and set up a disaster prevention and administration mechanism, the Chinese language overseas ministry stated.
Overseas Minister Wang Yi met Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in Kabul on Saturday and stated a 3-approach convention mechanism involving the 2 nations and China might promote dialogue and cooperation, the ministry stated in a press release on its web site.
“China sincerely needs for Afghanistan and Pakistan to enhance relations, rebuild mutual belief strengthen cooperation, obtain mutual security and mutually improvement,” Wang stated, in line with the communique.

The ties between Kabul and Islamabad have been tense in recent times by Afghan accusations that Pakistan is supporting Taliban insurgents preventing the US-backed Kabul with a purpose to restrict the affect of its previous rival, India, in Afghanistan.
Pakistan denies that and says it needs to see a peaceable, secure Afghanistan.
In Islamabad on Saturday, Wang stated counter-terrorism was an necessary a part of China’s relations with Pakistan and he thanked Pakistan “for its agency help for China’s struggle towards the violent militant group the ‘East Turkistan Islamic Motion’,” China’s Xinhua information company reported.
China says the East Turkistan Islamic Motion is a violent Uighur separatist group with hyperlinks to militants in South Asia.
