KARACHI: Cell phone providers have been restored in Karachi late Friday, after they have been suspended on account of Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA) and companions.
The Sindh authorities had on Thursday issued a notification relating to suspension of mobile providers on Friday.
Cell phone providers have been suspended at 10am on Friday to make sure safety throughout Chehlum. The providers have been restored at 10pm.
As a part of strict safety measures for the Chehlum of martyrs of Karbala, pillion driving was additionally banned in Karachi for Nov 9 and 10.
The ban was imposed beneath Part one hundred forty four of the Legal Process Code (CrPC), based on a notification issued by the Sindh residence division.
Then again, Balochistan residence division additionally banned pillion driving in Quetta on account of Chehlum Imam Hussain (RA).
