ISLAMABAD: In view of the regular rise within the homicide price within the capital, a brand new murder unit has been shaped within the Islamabad Police division on Wednesday.
Inspector Common of Police (IGP) Islamabad ,Tariq Masood Yasin, inaugurated the murder unit of the Investigation Wing at Police Line Headquarters at a ceremony, a press release stated.
The unit will consist of 5 groups and performance underneath the Particular Investigation Unit (SIU). Superintendent Investigation Captain (retired) Muhammad Alyas would head these groups.
Every group will comprise an Inspector, one SI, one ASI and three constables. The unit has additionally been assigned 5 automobiles, one for every staff, to research homicide instances. Addressing the Darbar, IGP Yasin stated lauded the investigation wing’s position in efficiently curbing crime. He directed SP Investigation to make sure coaching of all unit members.
Captain (retired) Alyas introduced a 3-month efficiency report of Investigation Wing to the IGP.
The report said that SIU and Anti-Automotive Lifting Cell (ACLC)’s Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali had arrested 17 suspects and recovered 14 automobiles, two motorbikes and ammunition from their possession.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Manzoor Elahi had arrested thirteen accused and recovered 10 automobiles, two motorbikes and ammunition from them.
Likewise, ACL and SIU had nabbed seventy four suspects whereas busting a complete of 35 felony gangs and recovered automobiles, bikes and valuables of value tens of millions of rupees from them.
