Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz says he is positioning his nation as a bridge between the “Visegrad group” of japanese European nations and their western counterparts.
Kurz stated he agreed with the Visegrad nations — Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia — that a quota system for migrants was unworkable and on the necessity to strengthen exterior borders.
Talking alongside Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Tuesday, Kurz stated that “it is in all of our pursuits that we work collectively.”
Orban says Europe’s border-free journey zone can solely work with “radical” exterior border protections just like the fence he had constructed.
He says: “what’s occurring at this time is that they need to open the exterior borders and shut the interior ones, that is the precise reverse.”
