DUBAI: A mosque within the UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi has been renamed the “Mary, mom of Jesus” Mosque in a bid to “consolidate bonds of humanity between followers of various religions.”
The mosque — “Mariam, Umm Eisa” in Arabic — was renamed following orders of Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Abu Dhabi crown prince and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who referred to as for consolidating bonds between followers of various faiths.
